Designing for Accessibility: A Modern and Functional Bathroom Makeover

Modern bathroom tilework with green cabinets and brass accents

When returning clients approached us for a bathroom remodel in Redding, their primary concern was enhancing accessibility without sacrificing style. Understanding the mobility needs that come with using a wheelchair, our team focused on creating a spacious, barrier-free environment. By widening the entry door and adjusting the layout, we ensured ease of movement and functionality.

We used Q Calacatta Sierra quartz slab on the vanity, top and side of pony wall and wrapped the niche and window in the quartz as well. Bedrosians Allora Hex Deco Telaio Matte tiles were selected for the flooring because of their slip-resistance and ease of maintenance, complementing the dark matte finish that runs throughout the space. Every fixture and feature, including the raised toilet base made from matching quartz, was chosen with both accessibility and aesthetics in mind.
