A Kitchen Remodel to Remember by Ceramic Designs
We’re super excited to share one of our recent kitchen remodels that has completely transformed a local home here in Redding, CA. This project wasn’t just about installing stunning countertops and backsplashes; it was a full-blown makeover where we flexed our general contractor muscles to create something truly special.
Quartzite Countertops with a Twist
The star of this kitchen is undoubtedly the Fantasy Macaubus Quartzite countertops. We went with a Bookend Edge detail that adds a sophisticated and unique touch. It's not just a countertop; it’s a statement piece that elevates the whole kitchen. The backsplash is this amazing Maniscalco Venetian Glass Burano Lace 2” x 6” tile, trimmed with Schluter Tuscany Ivory Jolly. It brings a pop of elegance and artistry to the space, perfectly complementing the quartzite. We also hooked up the homeowners with a Karran quartz composite sink in a chic Concrete color. It’s the perfect blend of functionality and modern design, tying the whole kitchen together.
As the general contractor for this project, we rolled up our sleeves and got down to business. We demolished the old cabinets and countertops, built and installed brand new cabinets, took care of all the plumbing and electrical work, and added a fresh coat of paint. Our team transformed the original, oddly shaped “football” island into a sleek, rectangular centerpiece that’s both practical and stylish.
